At QuitItBuddy, we believe your recovery journey is personal. That's why we've built our app to be privacy-first by default.
1. Local-First Data Storage
By default, all your user data—including your habits, journal entries, cravings, and financial stats—is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not upload your Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or telemetry data to our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
2. Optional Cloud Sync
If you choose to enable cloud sync, your data will be securely backed up to our servers. All server interactions (including feedback relay and optional sync) use secured service keys and row-level security (RLS) protected tables.
3. What We Do Not Collect
- We do not track your location.
- We do not sell your data to third-party advertisers.
- We do not share your health data with anyone.
4. Your Control
You remain completely in control of your data. Opt-in features are clearly marked and reversible. You can export or delete your local data at any time from within the app settings.
